2020 Utah Beef Ambassador Team!
Hailey Davis, Myka Jo Wayment, Riata Cummings, Noel Miller 2020 UBAP Team
My name is Hailey Davis from the small ranching community of Woodruff, Utah. I have grown up on my family’s cattle ranch and have always loved the beef animal and the agricultural industry. I am very passionate about this industry and am grateful for the opportunity to be a Utah Beef Ambassador. I am attending Utah State where I will work to earn my Doctorates degree in veterinarian medicine with a minor in Agribusiness. I’m excited to be a Utah Beef Ambassador because I want to be able to teach others the importance of beef and other agricultural forms, and to be able to learn more about the industry itself.
My name is Myka Jo Wayment, and I am extremely passionate about agriculture and the role I play in informing our communities and consumers. I am from a small town west of Ogden, Utah called Warren. My family runs a 250 head beef cow- calf operation as well as a feedlot, where we custom feed cattle for producers during certain times of the year. I am a fourth generation member of my family’s operation and have grown up raising and showing market steers at my county fair. I served as a county 4-H Ambassador and was heavily involved in my community and school programs including, high school rodeo, national honors society and the FFA. I have spent the last year serving as the state Vice President for the Utah FFA Association and have found that from serving in that position my love for agricultural advocacy has only deepened. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I have had to have been raised where I was and within the beef industry- it has taught me so much about the importance of teaching those around us, and connecting with people through this amazing thing we call agriculture. I am very excited to serve as a beef ambassador this year, to expand my knowledge and experience, to connect and teach people, and to help bridge the gap between producer and consumer.
My Name is Noel Miller and I was born and raised in a small town in Western Montana. I am
currently in Logan, Utah aending school to gain an educaon in Nursing. I did not have the opportunity
to grow up on a ranch of my own but by surrounding myself with wonderful people who have been so
willing to teach me and have allowed me to spend me with them on their ranches have helped me to
gain a passion for the cale industry. I am grateful for the people in my life, including my husband, that
have shared their knowledge with me and have given me those experiences so that I can connue to do
the same for others. I have witnessed the e#ort that ranchers put towards being 100% sure that their
cale are raised in a safe and humane manner. I am so excited to be a Beef Ambassador so that I can
connue to be a posive voice for the beef industry as I share my knowledge and personal experiences
with those that are unfamiliar. As a Beef Ambassador and a future nurse, I look forward to being a beef
advocate and the many opportunies that I will have to educate others on the bene)ts and healthy
advantages of including beef in their diet.
