2021 Utah Beef Ambassador Team!
Mary -Springcreek, NV; Jenny Gowans-Tooele, UT; Wyatt Weston-Randolph, UT
Hello! My name is Mary Tomera and I am a Beef Ambassador this year. I grew up in Spring Creek, Nevada on a cattle ranch with my family. Being able to grow up on a ranch has given me the opportunity to start my own small herd of registered angus cattle and build knowledge on the beef industry. Throughout my childhood and high school years I was involved in both 4-H and FFA, where I showed steers and competed in many CDE’s. I am now a junior at Utah State and am majoring in animal science with a minor in Ag business. I am so excited to get the chance to advocate for the beef industry and further my education!
Hey! My name is Jenna Gowans and I was raised in Tooele, Utah. Growing up I had the opportunity to spend many days with my dad, who is a local veterinarian, working alongside local producers to ensure herd health, as well as help on both of my grandfather’s cattle ranches. I was involved with sports, riding horses, raising market steers, livestock judging, and served as an FFA chapter officer for three years.
I am now attending Utah State University in pursuit of a degree in Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Science. After my time at USU, I hope to attend veterinary school and return to Tooele to work with my dad and sister at his veterinary practice. I am excited to be a beef ambassador to promote learning and advocate for the beef industry.
Howdy Folks!
My name is Wyatt Weston and I am one of the new Beef Ambassadors! I am from the small northern Utah town of Randolph. I attended and graduated from Rich High School. Following which I served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Eastern and Western Cape of South Africa.
My background with the beef industry comes from a long line of ranchers. My family has a Cow-Calf operation in northern Utah and southern Idaho which I grew up working with my family. Growing up on a ranch with my family helped me to develop a love for the cattle industry at a very young age. Ranching to me is a lifestyle, not just a job. I am currently studying Agri-business at Utah State University in Logan Utah with the goal of staying close to the cattle industry.
I am so excited to be a beef ambassador and get to share the love that I have for beef and the cattle industry with those around me!
2020 Utah Beef Ambassador Team!
Hailey Davis, Myka Jo Wayment, Riata Cummings, Noel Miller 2020 UBAP Team
My name is Hailey Davis from the small ranching community of Woodruff, Utah. I have grown up on my family’s cattle ranch and have always loved the beef animal and the agricultural industry. I am very passionate about this industry and am grateful for the opportunity to be a Utah Beef Ambassador. I am attending Utah State where I will work to earn my Doctorates degree in veterinarian medicine with a minor in Agribusiness. I’m excited to be a Utah Beef Ambassador because I want to be able to teach others the importance of beef and other agricultural forms, and to be able to learn more about the industry itself.
My name is Myka Jo Wayment, and I am extremely passionate about agriculture and the role I play in informing our communities and consumers. I am from a small town west of Ogden, Utah called Warren. My family runs a 250 head beef cow- calf operation as well as a feedlot, where we custom feed cattle for producers during certain times of the year. I am a fourth generation member of my family’s operation and have grown up raising and showing market steers at my county fair. I served as a county 4-H Ambassador and was heavily involved in my community and school programs including, high school rodeo, national honors society and the FFA. I have spent the last year serving as the state Vice President for the Utah FFA Association and have found that from serving in that position my love for agricultural advocacy has only deepened. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I have had to have been raised where I was and within the beef industry- it has taught me so much about the importance of teaching those around us, and connecting with people through this amazing thing we call agriculture. I am very excited to serve as a beef ambassador this year, to expand my knowledge and experience, to connect and teach people, and to help bridge the gap between producer and consumer.
My Name is Noel Miller and I was born and raised in a small town in Western Montana. I am
currently in Logan, Utah aending school to gain an educaon in Nursing. I did not have the opportunity
to grow up on a ranch of my own but by surrounding myself with wonderful people who have been so
willing to teach me and have allowed me to spend me with them on their ranches have helped me to
gain a passion for the cale industry. I am grateful for the people in my life, including my husband, that
have shared their knowledge with me and have given me those experiences so that I can connue to do
the same for others. I have witnessed the e#ort that ranchers put towards being 100% sure that their
cale are raised in a safe and humane manner. I am so excited to be a Beef Ambassador so that I can
connue to be a posive voice for the beef industry as I share my knowledge and personal experiences
with those that are unfamiliar. As a Beef Ambassador and a future nurse, I look forward to being a beef
advocate and the many opportunies that I will have to educate others on the bene)ts and healthy
advantages of including beef in their diet.

Allie Wallentine, Tennyson Miller, Makenna Luce 2019 UBAP Team
My name is Makenna Luce and I am a 20-year-old sophomore at Utah State University. I was born and raised in Northern California in an agriculture community of mostly orchards and rice fields. I am studying Agriculture Education and plan on teaching high school students once I graduate. Cattle ranches have a large impact on the Utah agriculture industry and cattle have a huge economic impact in our global economy. I would love to learn more on both of these subjects, which is why I applied to be a beef ambassador. I am also very excited to go around and teach people about our beef industry. I’m grateful to have an opportunity to expand my knowledge and then hopefully pass that onto the future generations as a beef ambassador.
My name is Tennyson Miller, and I grew up in Deer Lodge, Montana where I got the opportunity to raise and show my own cattle. I am currently studying agribusiness and animal science at Utah State University. I am very passionate about the beef industry, and I am eager to talk to people about how cattle are raised and the many benefits we receive from them.
My name is Allie Wallentine, and my interest with the beef industry stems from a lifetime of raising beef cattle beside my family. Not only do I have an interest for cattle and the industry in its entirety, but also I deeply care for it and see it as a part of myself and who I am. From a young age, I have been surrounded by the industry in all forms. I am excited to be a Utah Beef Ambassador because I see it as a great opportunity to teach others about beef cattle, and all forms of agriculture.
