2018 Scholarship Information

FOR COLLEGE FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORES, & JUNIORS: Complete application packet postmarked on or before April 30, 2017

Eligibility


  1. Grade point average of least 3.0 for those credit hours.
  2. Resident of the State of Utah.
  3. You or your Parent or guardian must be a member of good standing of the Utah Cattlemen’s Association and/or the Utah Cattlewomen’s Association.
FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:

Complete application packet postmarked on or before April 30, 2015

Eligibility


  1. High School Senior with intent to enroll fall 2015 in your choice of College of University
  2. Grade point average of at least 3.0 for all high school years.
  3. Resident of the State of Utah.
  4. You or your Parent or guardian must be a member in good standing of the Utah Cattlemen’s Association and/or the Utah Cattlewomen’s Association.
  5. Proof of registration at an accredited college or university for the upcoming year.

APPLICATION PACKET:
  1. Application information form.
  2. Two letters of recommendation from:
    1. A teacher or professor.
    2. A member of the Utah Cattlemen’s or the Utah Cattlewomen’s Associations.
  3. Essay
    1. Must be typewritten
    2. No more than 550 words addressing the following:
      • With the current status of the economy, what do you foresee as the future of the beef industry for the next generation?
      • With environmental protective forces, how can western ranchers preserve their right to range on public lands?
      • How do you and your generation hope to impact the future of agriculture?
      • With the great consumer push on all natural products, what do you see for the future of American agriculture?
  4. Grade point average.
    1. Submit an unofficial high school or college transcript of 3.0 or higher.
